As the Director of Emergency Medicine, you will provide organisational, management and clinical leadership to the emergency team. You will be the first FACEM in the Unit and will pave the way for future program development and accreditation, including GP and rural generalist training pathways. The Unit currently sees 14,000 ED presentations and is fast growing to 15,000. In this regional town you will see a variety of presentations from Cat 1 to 5.
You will have the opportunity to develop and lead clinical services and deliver optimum patient care. You will ensure the highest professional and patient safety standards are observed by all medical staff within the Emergency Department.
This health services provides a wide range of clinical services including medical and surgical, aged care, community and primary health, renal dialysis, chemotherapy, pathology, radiography diagnostic services and an active Emergency Department operating 24/7.
Onsite diagnostic and telemedicine services are operational. The theatre operates five
days a week with a variety of services provided including general surgery, orthopedics, O&G,
Ophthalmology, Urology and ENT.
