Role: Clinical Informatics EMR Medical Officer
Duration: 12 Months
Western Health (WH) is seeking a HMO or Registrar to assist the EMR project team with the implementation of new functionalities and optimising existing solutions over the next 12 months.
The primary project will be the implementation of the new IV infusions and complex medications solution in the EMR.
The Clinical Informatics EMR Medical Officer will form part of the multidisciplinary EMR project team and work closely with WH clinicians to design and implement the enhancement to simplify and support clinician workflow, provide access to best practice knowledge and empower our clinicians with the tools to enhance the delivery of Best Care. The Medical Officer will work closely with the EMR analysts in various stages of the project, including but not limited to design, build, testing, training, go live support and post go live optimisation.
Together with the CMIO and CNMIO the successful applicant will drive clinical adoption and change management initiatives, communicate key components of the program to fellow staff and articulate workflows and benefits to clinical peers. Additionally the successful applicant will work closely with the EMR Operational Team to ensure all design changes to the EMR are communicated effectively and proper handover is prepared upon project closure.
