As a Registrar in Rehabilitation Medicine, your role is to optimise mobility, physical and psycho-social functioning of patients recovering from various neurology (including stroke), orthopaedic, amputees and other musculo-skeletal and myo-neuropathy conditions, as well as spinal cord and traumatic brain injury patients. You will work closely with other health professionals and hospital management to ensure the delivery of high quality inpatient clinical services along with outpatient consultations, education and training. You will benefit from the guidance of experienced medical staff, working alongside 3 Consultants and will also be supported by an HMO.
Servicing approximately 250,000 residents, this major regional trauma centre provides a wide range of accessible healthcare services to the community. It is the largest provider of regional health care services between Sydney and Melbourne. High quality clinical care is provided to this diverse and regional community through two public hospitals, two community rehabilitations centres, a dental clinic and mental health services. The Rehabilitation service itself has a 20-bed rehab ward and outpatient service, including a Prosthetics/Orthotics Unit located off campus. You will be supported by a large Allied Health Department that supplies multidisciplinary staff to both in and outpatient services.

You will have current registration with the Australian Medical Board (AHPRA) or be eligible for registration, with experience from a comparable health care system such as New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, Canada or USA.
